How to set up Learnify LMS

Learnify LMS combines a web storefront, an instructor workspace, a student area and a Flutter app on one Laravel backend. It suits a training business that wants to publish and sell courses. Start with one sample course and one learner journey before opening enrolment.

Set up and test the first workflow

  1. Prepare the Laravel host

The author specifies PHP 8.3+, MySQL 8 or MariaDB 10.6+, URL rewriting and scheduled tasks. Review the required extensions and upload limits for the release you buy. Set up HTTPS and a dedicated database with its own user.

  2. Install the web panel first

Extract the purchased package and upload the contents of WebSourceCode. Point the domain document root at the public folder. Open /install, resolve any failed checks, enter the database connection and create the owner account. The installer runs the migrations.

  3. Run a sample course through the web and app

Configure one instructor and course, with sample lessons and a test payment or free enrolment. Follow the mobile docs to connect the Flutter build to the live API, and configure Firebase if push notifications are needed. Test enrolment, playback, saved progress and payment return on real devices before submitting builds.

Brand it for your business

TechCSC can configure the course domain, logos and colours, create the app identifiers and store assets, and set up supported gateways and email. For a single training provider, we can scope a simpler launch with your own courses first. If independent instructors will sell courses, decide how approvals, commissions and payouts should work before enabling them.

Keep the domain, hosting, payment and developer accounts in your organisation’s name. Agree who owns backups, content uploads and future updates. Have the author or Envato confirm the licence for paid courses or gated access before purchase.

Troubleshooting and buying questions

Why does a YouTube lesson open outside the app?

A buyer reported unexpected redirects and playback issues. The author said it planned fixes. Test the exact release, your video host and representative videos on Android and iOS. If the issue persists, record the app version, device, video source and steps to reproduce it before seeking a fix.

Can learners upload proof for offline payments?

The author explained that the version discussed let admins approve or reject offline requests manually and did not include screenshot uploads. Confirm the behaviour in your release. If needed, TechCSC can assess a reference field, evidence upload and reconciliation workflow.

What if the database step times out?

The installation guide says to check the Laravel log, fix the underlying database or PHP problem and retry the same step. Keep a backup and avoid dropping tables just to clear an error.
